Summary
This page is a snapshot of why AnimeWarp exists, how the project is run, and what you can expect next. Share it whenever someone asks who is behind the platform or how we make decisions.
Independent & Open
AnimeWarp is a volunteer-built project that keeps the UI, static pages, and roadmap in the open on GitHub.
Privacy First
Account-free streaming, minimal analytics, and transparent policies make AnimeWarp safe to recommend.
Community Powered
Designers, translators, data scouts, and infrastructure contributors keep releases humming every week.
Quality Streaming
We pair AniList metadata with curated mirrors and custom HLS tooling so every detail page loads fast.
Our Story
AnimeWarp started as a weekend experiment to strip trackers, intrusive pop-ups, and autoplay ads from the streaming experience. What began as a single clean player evolved into a full discovery surface layered on top of AniList, with curated mirrors, watch history chips, and a documentation stack that rivals commercial platforms. We keep things intentionally small, composable, and open-source so anyone can audit how the site operates or fork it for their own communities.
Principles that guide us
Stay lightweight
Fast pages, small bundles, and instant search keep AnimeWarp enjoyable on budget hardware or slow networks.
Respect viewers
No forced registrations, no dark patterns, and no pop-up ads. Everything is grounded in the privacy policy.
Ship transparently
Roadmaps, bugs, and features live on GitHub so contributors can grab tasks or audit implementation details.
How operations work
Catalog & Metadata
AniList drives schedules, artwork, and recommendations. Our sync jobs normalize the data into edge caches.
Player & Mirrors
Custom HLS layers wrap vetted mirrors with tokenized proxies so the browser never hits shady CDNs directly.
Build & Deploy
Next.js + Vercel handle SSR/ISR while a lightweight Node proxy keeps mirror requests consistent worldwide.
Quality & Monitoring
Automated checks watch uptime, playback errors, and domain hijacks. Critical alerts are mirrored to Telegram.
Community contributions
People across time zones keep AnimeWarp running. Here are the most common ways fans help out:
Content scouting
Volunteers keep missing releases flagged, report DMCA takedowns, and verify new mirror partners.
Design & UX
Designers maintain the visual language you see on this page, ensuring legal docs and FAQs match.
Localization
Translators adapt static pages, metadata labels, and UI copy so AnimeWarp feels native worldwide.
Code & infrastructure
Developers triage GitHub issues, patch scrapers, and improve backend observability.
