Summary
The DMCA gives copyright holders a formal process to request removal of infringing material. We follow that process closely so creators and rights holders get timely relief while users retain the ability to dispute errors.
Rapid Review
Every valid DMCA notice is reviewed by a dedicated moderator within 24-48 hours of receipt.
Clear Requirements
We only act on requests that include sworn statements, ownership proof, and precise URLs.
Fair Appeals
Accused uploaders receive the claim details plus a window to submit a counter-notification.
Repeat Offenders
Accounts with multiple substantiated violations lose upload abilities and may be banned.
Introduction
AnimeWarp indexes streams so fans can discover anime hosted by third parties. We do not host video files directly, but we respect US copyright law and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512). Only complete, good-faith notices result in removal. We reject automated, vague, or abusive submissions.
Scope & Eligibility
- Coverage includes anime listings, artwork, descriptions, subtitles, and thumbnails.
- We can only act when the allegedly infringing material is accessible via AnimeWarp services.
- Requesters must be the rights holder or an agent with written authority.
- We cannot adjudicate licensing disputes—please provide clear documentation.
DMCA Takedown Basics
1. Identify specific URLs
Provide the exact AnimeWarp URLs (series, episode, or embed) that contain the allegedly infringing material.
2. Verify ownership or authority
Include documentation or an explanation that you own the copyright or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
3. Submit a sworn statement
State that the information you provide is accurate and that you are filing in good faith under penalty of perjury.
4. Await confirmation
We will reply confirming receipt, removal actions taken, or requests for clarification if anything is missing.
Required Elements of a Notice
- •Full legal name, company (if applicable), mailing address, and phone number.
- •Primary contact email address we can use for follow-up questions.
- •Proof of ownership or exclusive rights to the copyrighted work.
- •A description of the work claimed to be infringed (title, episode, chapter, etc.).
- •Precise AnimeWarp URLs or CDN links that host or embed the material.
- •A good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized under law.
- •A statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.
- •A physical or digital signature (typed full name is acceptable).
How to Submit
Email (preferred)
Send a full notice via our secure email inbox with “DMCA Notice” in the subject. Attachments must be PDF or plain text.
We will respond via the same address unless you specify an alternate contact route.
Telegram Ticket
Message us on the official Telegram channel to open a private ticket so a moderator can share a secure upload location for supporting documents.
Telegram submissions still require every element listed above before we can act.
Postal Mail
If you need certified delivery, request our mailing address via email. Postal notices are processed as soon as they are digitized.
Expect additional processing time for international deliveries.
Counter Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, US law allows you to send a counter notice. We relay it to the original claimant and restore the content unless they initiate litigation.
- •Identify the material that was removed and the precise location where it appeared before removal.
- •Include your name, address, phone number, and email.
- •Provide a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- •Consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your address (or San Francisco County, CA if outside the US) and agree to accept service from the original claimant.
- •Add a physical or digital signature.
Repeat Infringer Policy
We track the status of every takedown affecting an uploader account. Multiple confirmed infringements—or a single egregious case—may lead to suspension, loss of upload rights, or permanent bans. Appeals are considered when new evidence is provided.
Timelines & Status Updates
Receipt & Acknowledgment
Within 24-48 hours we confirm the notice and remove or geo-block the content when warranted.
Counter Notification Window
Uploaders typically have 10 business days to file a counter notice before we take further account action.
Content Restoration
If we receive a valid counter notice, we wait 10-14 business days for proof of court action before restoring the content.
Safe Harbor Statement
- •AnimeWarp is a linking/search service; we comply with the DMCA to maintain safe harbor protections.
- •We remove or disable access to material upon valid notice without making independent legal determinations.
- •We notify impacted users when legally allowed and encourage dialogue between the parties.
- •We document every request and may publish anonymized transparency metrics to discourage abusive notices.
Policy Updates
We revise this page whenever laws or our internal workflows change. Material updates will be announced via the site changelog or Telegram. Please reference the effective date above for the latest version.
